Zurigo 1999
Armchair & Sofa
Zanotta, Italy
The idea behind Zurigo was to undress a traditional sofa, to make the construction visible and to make it as filigree as possible. The simple but heavy cushions seem to hover on it. I would never have thought that so little material would be required. Today this transparency, this sketchy quality, often forms an important theme and serves as the basis for my ideas.
