I spend one to three days a week travelling. Usually, I go on day trips, with the occasional overnight. So you arrive somewhere, get in a taxi, are picked up and driven straight to your meeting and afterwards, to your hotel - or maybe to dinner, somewhere in town. And the next day - the same thing.... This is the background behind the collection of bags, «By My Side». I wanted to design a bag that would not look like an overnighter. I wanted to created a practical piece of luggage that would be pretty to look at. I wanted to hide the content of the bag from view but have it within easy reach at all times. «By My Side» means «with me, at all times» - the bag was to respond to this requirement. This collection of bags is characterised by several practical details and is nonetheless not overloaded. The graphic handle and the coloured seams are eye-catchers. The different proportions and details are usually only recognized at second glance. And the content is always a surprise - the owner's little secret and small pleasure, so to say.
